About Hirehood
Why we built it
Jobs around here are scattered across Facebook groups, store windows, word of mouth and national sites that bury them under jobs hundreds of kilometres away. Hirehood lists the local ones together, and works on a phone and a slow connection.
Our promises
- Pay always shown. Every job lists its pay or pay range. No “competitive wage”.
- Free for job seekers. Apply with your name and email. You don’t need an account.
- Your application goes only to that employer. We never sell your information.
- Local first. Only jobs in the communities we serve, starting with Renfrew County.
- Safe. A person checks every new employer’s first job, and anyone can report a job.
Where the jobs come from
Most jobs are posted by local employers, and you apply on Hirehood. We also list public job postings from approved sources, like Job Bank and employers’ own career pages. Those say where they came from (“via Job Bank”), and you apply on the original site.
For employers
Posting is free for a company’s first month, one job at a time. After that, listings start at $9.99. See prices.
