Our community
Hirehood is made in the Ottawa Valley, for the people and employers who live and work here.
Local, on purpose
We’re starting in Pembroke and Petawawa and adding towns across Renfrew County. We visit employers door to door, with a printable “Now hiring” poster that people walking by can scan to apply.
Organisations that help people find work here
These local organisations support many of the people Hirehood is for. Listing them doesn’t mean they endorse Hirehood.
- Algonquin College — Career and Employment Services, Pembroke. Help with resumes, job searching and training for students, graduates and people in the community looking for work.
- Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre. Support for military families at Garrison Petawawa, including spouses and partners finding work after a posting.
- County of Renfrew. The county government for most of the towns Hirehood serves.
Students and first jobs
Many jobs are marked “Students welcome” or “No car needed”, and you can filter for them in search.
