How it works

  1. Tell us about the job

Plain sentences are fine. “Write it for me” can turn your notes into a posting.
  2. We check it against Ontario’s rules

Pay shown, no “Canadian experience”, vacancy and AI statements when they apply.
  3. Applicants come to your inbox

Move people along, take notes and email them.
  4. Hire, then close the job

One click closes it. Repost any time.

Questions from employers

Is posting a job on Hirehood free?

For your first 30 days, yes: one free job live at a time. After that, a Basic listing is $9.99 a job, with no one-at-a-time limit. Every listing runs for 30 days and shows in search, on its town and category pages and in job alert emails.

What do the paid listings add?

A Standard listing ($49) shows your job in Google job search, marks it up for AI answers such as ChatGPT and includes it in the weekly town email; a company can have up to 10 Standard jobs at a time. A Featured listing ($89) adds a pinned spot at the top of town, category and search pages for 14 days and a highlighted card. Any HST is shown at checkout before you pay.

Do I have to show the pay?

Yes. Every job on Hirehood shows its pay or pay range. Since January 1, 2026, Ontario also requires employers with 25 or more staff to include pay in public job postings.

How do applicants reach me?

Applications arrive in your Hirehood inbox, and we can email you each time someone applies. From there you can shortlist people, take notes, book interviews and email applicants.

Why was my first job reviewed before it went live?

Our team checks each new employer’s first job to keep scams off the board. Once your first job is approved, later jobs usually go live right away.

One of my jobs is on Hirehood already, but I didn’t post it. What happened?

We list public job postings from sources like Job Bank and employer career pages, with a link back to where they came from. You can claim the listing to manage it on Hirehood, or ask us to remove it.
